Gladiola Nostalgia

It's the peak of summer. We are going grocery shopping with Oma. We get to the grocery store and the flower section is bursting with gorgeous Gladiolas. My Oma picks one bunch up, and then another. She would always buy a bunch for herself and then one for my aunt Naomi and one for my mom too. They would all have bunches of their dining room tables. She would always do that seasonally. Potted Poinsettias for their tables at Christmas, daffodils or hyacinths in the spring. I loved that she loved treating them with flowers. I will be doing that for my daughters one day, and ill be thinking of her when i do.

Gladiolas know as "queen of the flowers"

These pieces are a sliver of my heart on gorgeous sustainable logged cedar. Painted with acrylic and details done with pen. They are sealed, but i don't recommend running them under water or keeping them in a bathroom. The cedar will darken over time naturally and knots can fall out if pushed on or played with.
