Delphinium Nostalgia

 One of the first summers gardening in my own garden at my home i bought a delphinium plant from the local nursery. The picture looked pretty and i had a vague memory of seeing the flowers before and liking them. I planted them early spring and by august i was sold. They were bright, tall and striking. Almost fairy like plants. Safe to say the next spring a bought many more. Delphiniums are easily one of my most favourite flowers now.

These pieces are a sliver of my heart on gorgeous sustainable logged cedar. Painted with acrylic and details done with pen. They are sealed, but i don't recommend running them under water or keeping them in a bathroom. The cedar will darken over time naturally and knots can fall out if pushed on or played with.
